Vario ceiling ventilation
The modular system embedded within your kitchen architecture can be as small or large as your kitchen demands and by housing the fan unit externally, it presents an extremely flat profile without any loss of effectiveness. Lighting and power levels are adjusted via a convenient remote control.
Table ventilation
Rising from the surface, the table ventilation removes vapour and odour while offering dimmable illumination. Able to extract or re-circulate the air it complements many of the 400 series cooktops: gas, flex induction, Teppan Yaki and grill. And once finished, it submerges out of sight.
Vario downdraft ventilation
The Vario downdraft elegantly sits alongside any of the Vario 400 series, including the framed or frameless flex induction options. Particularly useful next to pan-free cooking appliances such as Teppan Yaki and the electric grill, the downdraft also blends in seamlessly when interspersed between flex induction and gas cooktops.

Our 1976 innovation, the downdraft ventilation, fits flush into any Vario cooktops 400 series arrangement, offering effective odour and vapour removal at source, utilising the same stainless steel controls as the cooktops.
Removing the unwanted at source
Its wide aperture, powerful motors and new inner housing ensures high airflow even at its lowest setting, and minimal noise even at its highest. By activating its automatic function, the private chef can concentrate on creating or entertaining. The hyper-sensitive air quality sensor detects vapours allowing the downdraft to immediately react and adjust the power level. The automatic function uses the lowest power level necessary making it extremely quiet in operation.
Cleaning and maintenance
The internal redesign has improved the maintenance aspect as well. With ergonomic handles for ease of removal of the dual grease filter and tank which can be placed upright on the counter to eliminate contact with grease. The filter can be washed in the dishwasher, the smooth anodised aluminium internal surface is easily wiped clean, ensuring unrivalled hygiene, while its symmetrical shape facilitates easy reinsertion.
Island hoods
Available in widths of 160, 120, and 100 cm, the substantial yet minimalist Island hood makes a powerful statement. Dimmable LEDS can flood the worktop in light or offer atmospheric mood lighting, sensors can control the power level depending upon the amount of vapour in the air while the professional angled baffle filters effectively remove it.
